About

I have a passion for food and spent 20 years of my career working in the food industry before completing a 4-year course in Nutritional Therapy at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I have a specialist interest in female health and midlife nutrition, working predominantly with women over forty across a wide range of health concerns. Combining my love of food with science-based nutritional knowledge, I help women regain control of their health through the development of personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans alongside health coaching support. Manageable changes, working at your pace, to help you bring your body back into balance.

Qualifications & Accreditations

I am a registered nutritional therapist; member of BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) and registered with the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council). I have completed the Lifecode GX Practitioner Training in Nutrigenomics and Zest Health Coaching Skills for Nutrition Practitioners.

Is nutritional therapy for me?

Nutritional therapy can support a full health spectrum, from chronic conditions through to improving health and wellness. It’s based on a functional medicine approach which focuses on the underlying causes of ill-health and disease, rather than just addressing the symptoms on the surface. Some of the symptoms and conditions nutritional therapy can support include:

My Approach

  1. Personalised

    The path to health is a very individual one. Your personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan is based on your unique biochemistry, your relationship with food, your lifestyle habits and the goals you want to achieve.

    I work closely with you to identify and address the root cause of your condition, symptom or concern, looking at your body as a whole integrated system rather than individual parts and symptoms in isolation. We’ll also look together at your health in the context of your day-to-day life, exploring stress, exercise and your home and work environment.

  3. Evidence-based

    The latest research forms the basis for all recommendations. Specific laboratory testing may be used to understand your baseline biochemistry and help inform the direction of your personalised plan.

  4. A love of food

    Adding in a wide-range of delicious and beneficial foods to support your unique physiology – this is not about making eating dull. Cutting through the dietary noise with advice on the foods that will work best for you. Always a food-first approach, looking at what you can add into your diet to support your health rather than take out.
